We've rented many places over the years and this one's a standout. They thought of everything, and then some. To list a few spectacular things: beds and linens+towels (plenty, comfy and quality). location, privacy, nice hot tub, game room! All the little touches (you'll have to see for yourselves, no spoilers here :)). Washer and dryer, 2 fireplaces (we didn't use them but can't wait to, come winter when we rent again). The overall diversity of appealing to a range of people/needs: singles, families, extended families, friends trips and so on. Kandra was incredibly responsive when I had a quick question. The freaking river is a little stroll down the ladybug path (cute! ). My husband and daughter went fishing with the picturesque, peaceful surroundings of nature. The only thing I'd say is that I'm hesitant to leave this kind of review because I don't want it to be too booked when we return! Oh, and checkout is easy and reasonable! (you know who you are "some owners"... :)).

Our stay here was absolutely magical. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful even just walking around the property of the house, and the river was a short walk from the house that our family went on in the morning shortly after waking up one day. It was so perfect for our 4 kiddos as there was not only plenty to explore and plenty of space, but even toys and books suitable for our 4 and 6 year old that they had fun with. My 4 year old daughter didn’t even fight us on sleeping in the little cubby kids bed because she thought the lights and little stuffies in the bed were “sooo cute” - and this girl normally will not sleep in her own bed lol. All of the beds were also super comfortable. Water pressure was insane (in a good way) and like a massage. It was just the coziest little cabin to stay in while we explored zigzag and mt hood forest areas. Definitely would stay again if we return to the area.

Spent a couple of weekdays here with family and we were really considering extending! We had such a good time at Kandra’s place. It is very spacious and has everything you would need for any group of people. We will definitely try to book again next time we visit Mt. Hood.

The house is in a beautiful area, and was great for our group of eight (plus two dogs). The couches in the main room (by the kitchen) were large, comfortable, and much appreciated. The deck by the main room faces into the forest, and was very nice as a spot to eat outdoors. Kandra informed us about the baby gates available in the house, and we were able to use those to keep the dogs on the deck easily. There is a trail right outside the house to the river, nice for dog walks. We used the fire pit a couple of times (wood is available) - very fun for s’mores and conversation. The Thriftway in town is reasonably stocked and not too far of a drive. Bonus: knives in the kitchen are sharp, and the house ‘instruction manual’ is very comprehensive & helpful!
